چکیده

This paper deals with the quantitative interpretation of time-average holograms of vibrating objects. It is shown that the images obtained during reconstruction of such holograms are modulated by a system of fringes described by the square of the zero-order Bessel function of the first kind. A procedure for quantitative interpretation of these fringes is described and illustrated with examples. The experimental results, obtained directly from the time-average holograms, show good agreement with the exact solution of the differential equation of motion based on the beam theory andwith the mode shapes determined by the finite element modeling of the vibrating beam. beam; mode shape.

Effective procedure for determination of unknown vibration frequency and phase using time-averaged digital holography

In time-averaged digital holography (TADH), one records a hologram of a periodically oscillating object by using the exposure time typically much longer than the oscillating period. Problems arise when the total available exposure time is restricted or when the oscillation period is unknown. In this work we investigate effects of short exposure time to the quality of the recorded hologram and s...

Time-averaged in-line digital holographic interferometry for vibration analysis.

Time-averaged in-line digital holography is applied for vibration analysis. In particular, by use of a double-exposure approach, simultaneous determination of vibration mode shape and mean static state deformation during a vibration cycle are obtained. The subtraction of two numerically reconstructed digital holograms recorded at the same resonant frequency but with a small difference in amplit...

Simultaneous acquisition of pi/2 phase-stepped interferograms with a photorefractive Bi(12)GeO(20) crystal: application to real-time double-pulse holography.

We present a novel method for real-time analysis of vibrations in double-pulse laser holography. Two pi/2 phase-stepped interferograms are obtained simultaneously. An experimental demonstration gives a phase measurement with an accuracy of 4 degrees .

Absolute measurement of small-amplitude vibrations by time-averaged heterodyne holography with a dual local oscillator.

We report a demonstration of the measurement of the ratio between an optical modulation sideband component and the nonshifted light component by time-averaged heterodyne holography in off-axis and frequency-shifting configuration, through coherent frequency-division multiplexing with a dual optical local oscillator. Experimental results of sinusoidal vibration sensing are reported. This techniq...

Holographic vibrometry: Full field holographic vibrometry at ultimate limits

Heterodyne holography is an extremely versatile and powerful holographic technique that is able to fully control the amplitude, phase and frequency of both the illumination and holographic reference beams. Applied to vibration analysis, this technique is able to detect the signal of the carrier or the one of any vibration sideband. A complete analysis of the vibration signal can thus be made, a...
